JLS Community Collaborations – Meal Service at the Rescue Mission Saturday, January 28, 2017

Members of The Junior League of Syracuse will be assisting, prepping and serving meals at the Rescue Mission in order to help those in poverty in our community on January 28, 2017.

The Rescue Mission provides three free meals a day to anyone in need at their Food Service Center. Their Emergency Shelter offers 183 beds for men and women in eight separate dormitories. Their Day Center offers a safe place to come in from the elements, use the phone or internet, and connect with a range of services. Beyond meeting basic needs for food, clothing or shelter,  Rescue Mission case managers help guests develop a plan to leave homelessness and hunger behind. As part of this effort, the Rescue Mission operates an adult home for supportive living as well as affordable permanent housing.
