Members of The Junior League of Syracuse will be participating in a Community Collaborations activity focused on providing assistance at the Rescue Mission’s meal services on Friday, September 23, 2016 and Sunday, September 25, 2016.
Since 1887, the Rescue Mission has helped those in need. Their campus in the Mission District provides emergency shelter, clothing, and three free meals every day of the year. Beyond meeting these basic needs, their staff works with those who enter the shelter to develop an individual plan and access the support they need to leave homelessness and hunger behind. The Rescue Mission offers employment and education resources, life skills training, spiritual care, and connection to other services.
